2009 Work Experience, The Independent
Pitched and wrote a double page spread on sex offenders, wrote a full page article for the money supplement and various other small stories.
2009 Work Experience, Daily Mirror
Helped write a story which exposed misconduct by Waitrose staff. Reported on a variety of stories over several weeks’ experience, from Barak Obama’s inauguration, to the ‘Jigsaw murder’ and swine flu.
2009 Freelance work, Positive Nation
Wrote a full-page feature for this specialist health magazine.
2008 Work experience, Sunday Times Magazine
Researched ideas for the ‘One year On’ feature in the magazine and pitched them to writers.

Wrote four front-page splashes, a full-page feature and a variety of other news stories.

Designed and edited the news section of this prestigious student paper which was shortlisted for the 2008 Guardian Student Media Award for Best Newspaper.

Assisted a reporter in researching an article on the Liberal Democrat leadership contest. Interviewed attendees of a debate and conducted a straw poll.
